Expectations at associate level
- share your work with other designers and the wider digital community
- seek out regular feedback from other designers
- look at how other designers have tackled similar problems
- attend local and national community events
- create opportunities to collaborate with other designers
- give constructive feedback and take onboard feedback given to you
- be inquisitive. look for opportunities to learn both internally and externally
Expectations at working level
- support the creation and iteration of common patterns in your work
- take a lead role in the local design community
- take an active role in the cross-government design community
- spot opportunities for others to collaborate, based on your understanding of their work
Expectations at senior level
- create a community environment in the department which is open, supportive and inclusive
- encourage everyone to take part in the department’s design community
- understand the needs of designers. provide opportunities for them to learn and share
- attend community events across government when possible. bring relevant learning back to teams
